DRAPERY HARDWARE
|
Hardware is a great
accessory for added oomph on window treatments. No longer
strictly functional, rods, rings, finials and tiebacks
also make important decorative statements.
-
Metals are still strong, especially mixed
with wood - for instance, a wood pole with a metal finial.
-
There's a greater variety of wood stains
such as cherry, sandalwood, brushed or antiqued gold and
silver. Similarly, there are fabulous metal finishes to
choose from that complement decor styles from classical to country to
contemporary modern.
-
Resins and other synthetics are on the
rise. These molded finials, brackets, and tiebacks offer
carved looks and more intricate detail in lighter-weight
materials.
-
Drapery pole and finial sizes are
bulking up to better suit the great-room's large size
and large expanses of window panes.
SOME OF OUR
FAVOURITES
As you can imagine, there are simply too
many to show you all of them online. We'll start with a few
and gradually build up.
The Robert Allen Collection, featured here, is simply
stunning, top-of-the line design. Our web designer fell in
love with the images and wanted to start with them, however,
we will soon have others to show you which are also examples
of fine design but more moderately priced.
